Merry Christmas!
We pray you come to know the One for Whom we all celebrate this year, and His surpassing love for you. May you enjoy traditions of your own this Christmas, and may 2020 bring untold comforts, healing, and success for you all.

The photo session for our Christmas picture has become tradition, and it started decades ago when I first asked Papa if he would mind attempting to capture a picture with our toddlers looking into the camera for a Christmas photo. It would usually be an email or phone call starting with, "Now, Daddy, we only need one, so would you mind trying?" He was a professional photographer back in the day and has always kept fantastic camera equipment on hand. He is still our photographer today.
With only an hour before Madison's baby shower for her second baby, we didn't take the time for the goofy poses we usually do. It was the only time I could manage to gather every last one of them together during daylight hours for this event!
Daddy snapped a couple of Curtis trying to grab my ribs instead of my hand.
Uncle Cash with his nephew Eugene.
Milly and Charles trying out the background for Papa.
Another tradition is celebrating at the Dallas Symphony Orchestra's Christmas Pops Presentation at the Meyerson Symphony Center. This has been one of our favorite events during the Christmas season to attend with Papa.

Followed by desserts and coffee at The Cheesecake Factory.
Last year, because little Miss Isabella was only three months old, we tried a limousine ride to see Christmas lights in Highland Park instead of attending the symphony. It sounded wonderful and like it would rival the fun of other years. This thing pulled up in front of the house just after dark, and with wide eyes of anticipation, we loaded the family, along with three friends, into the luxurious vehicle loaded with soft drinks and popcorn.
I will NOT do that again. It was claustrophobic to begin with, then the windows were too small to really take in any sort of view. On top of that, someone stepped in dog poop on the walk down to the limo, and the entire ride stank of fresh dung. The limo didn't seem perfectly sanitary, either. I bathed every kid afterward, and chalked it up to an adventure. We did laugh a lot and the children seemed to make the best of it singing carols and telling jokes.
Back to the symphony this year.
This was Charles' first time to go! He and Mom have really taken up with one another, so she came as his "date." So much fun!!
